09/04/09:
JG International Freight Corp., Inc. officially inaugurates its website on this date as its commitment to provide a level of service commensurable to the best in the industry. Our motto has always been the customers satisfaction is our objective. We provide this through many facets, combining our love for our work and our love for knowing we can help the world. We see our job as the backbone for economies, not only the USA but that of many nations in need of goods.
It is with this in mind that we set forth a brand new www.JGIntl.com website. This new site will give our clients the ability to Track their shipments through links provided on our tracking page; as well as downloadable forms for shipping documentation purposes. For those interested in news in our industry we are providing RSS feeds for TSA and U.S. C.B.P. We are also updating our own RSS feed through Twitter, while maintaining a Facebook and LinkedIn page for networking with our clients.
JGI created the website also for the purpose of opening up our services to the world. We hope that if you are a new client reading this that you are welcomed by our page properly. Our main services are listed out for you to gain a sense of how we operate, but please do not limit our capabilities in Freight Forwarding and globalization. We really do hope you contact us or better yet request for quote.
Being that this is our opening of our newly designed, beautifully crafted website, i wanted to make fair mention of our developer Bill Carone and his team. They can be found on Bill's website: http://www.carolinageek.com/It is through Bill that we are proud to present you our online presence and in many ways the reason you might of found us on Google organic searches. We gladly recommend Bill's services to anyone who is looking for that added internet help.
Thank you for reading our Blog and hope you will not be a stranger to visiting us.
Please feel free to comment and ask for any advice, questions, and details on freight forwarding you may want to see here in the future.
Sincerely,Jon Galvez....

8th Anniversary of 9-11

First I want to mention to those fallen that we will never forget and we will work harder to make your sacrifice not go in vain.:

"Let us remember how we came together as one nation, as one people, as Americans, united not only in our grief, but in our resolve to stand with one another, to stand up for the country we all love," Obama said (excerpt from: Yahoo News)

On this 8th Anniversary it brings to mind that we as freight forwarders must answer the call of duty and responsibility to do our best to provide security in the transportation sector.
As a small freight forwarder, we sometimes say to ourselves why does this have to change why do I have to do this, why can't the government just handle this and do this and do that. This is not the answer, this will lead no where fast and will end in nothing more than a false security for our country.
As a freight forwarder we need to take better care to know our Shipper's, our shipments, and our transportation routings. We should take a sense of security into our own hands. With the use of our Associations and Lobbyists we will hopefully come up with a more unified and productive plan.
My biggest gripe though is companies' using loopholes to become TSA cooperative. This I will never agree with and will always feel is detrimental to the industry.
As such I look to anyone interested in helping me make a comic strip, newspaper type to make fun and demonstrate the ridiculousness of the rules that have come about to provide us "Security." I will of course clear and check if this breaks SSI, but I would love to make this happen if it is at all possible.

To All,

I would first like to state that we are in constant, vigilant prayer for all of our brothers and sisters worldwide affected by any calamity.

At this time, JG International has a special connection in a recent calamity affecting our loved ones in the Philippines. We hope that all your loved ones are safe and secure, and to those who may have lost loves in this time of disaster, we are praying. If you are unaware of what I am speaking of please see the most recet article I have found by the Associated Press:

140 die in Philippine storm, toll expected to rise

We hope that in this time of uncertainty and distress. We can come together and unite in providing our love and support. JG International is ready and waiting to know of how we can be of assistance in our specialty. We will appreciate the united effort of our agents and network to let us know of what we can do to get the resources needed to make sure that the Philippines recovery time is swift and efficient. As well as being fully capable to take the measures needed to try to protect from an occurence of this magnitude and to eventually ensure the safety and security.

Please let us know of all projects needing the immediate movement of any equipment, donations, goods, etc... So that we can make sure that we make a prioritized work effort in helping out our brothers and sisters in need.

To all those of secularity, please appreciate my approach and your kind thoughts and best wishes are highly appreciated. I hope to hear from those who are able to and willing to put their efforts in helping the Philippines in this time. If their are any donations or request of how you can be of assistance we are working on putting together efforts led by my sister Jhoanna in collecting funding to food and clothing, and other needs. Please contact us for any information of what you maybe able to do if you are interested.

We appreciate your kind understanding in reading this email and hope if not only to touch your heart and pray for our beloved ones for a moment, this email will have achieved enough.

Please send your prayers, best wishes and thoughts.

Sincerely,
Jon Galvez....

Free PAL airlift of donations for Ondoy victims

Philippine Airlines will airlift for free all relief donations intended for victims of typhoon Ondoy. All provincial PAL stations will load on flights bound for Manila any bulk cargo box containing donations addressed to reputable, non-profit, charitable organizations in Manila.

The above statement is also a link to the PAL website for further details. Thanks to PAL there is a way to get donations to and around the Philippines in a immediate manner. The offer is mainly intended for Intra-Philippines transfer of donations, but in certain cases can be used for international movement.
Please though before jumping on this offer there are some rules and stipulations that should be addressed. Most are listed on the PAL website, but as many will know there are those who will take advantage of this offer and also TSA will not allow shipments on PAL without the proper steps taken.
Some notable rules needed to be fulfilled prior to shipping:

Shipment must be from a Non-Profit Organization to another Non-Profit Organization.
Shipment must be preapproved with Philippine Customs prior to shipping. This means address your customs brokers with full details of your shipments prior and get approval first.
Approval of shipments must also be approved by PAL cargo in the US.
Goods being allowed to be shipped is restricted and can be read on the PAL website and may include more than what is listed due to Goverment regulation.

These rules are only in place to make sure this is not for profit and commercial use. Nonetheless we at JGI thank you Philippine Airlines for putting your best foot forward.....
